Everton to include the likes of Neville, Arteta and Saha for Australia tour

English Premier League club Everton will include first team stars such as Phil Neville, Mikel Arteta, Louis Saha, Sylvain Distin and Jack Rodwell when they tour Australia in July.

The Toffees will undertake a three-match tour of Australia, taking in Sydney where they will meet A-League champions Sydney FC on July 10, Melbourne to take on new club Melbourne Heart on July 14 and Brisbane to face the Brisbane Roar on July 17.

The timing of the tour coincides with the end of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa meaning some Everton players, including Australia star Tim Cahill, may not make the trip because of international duties.

Players like South Africa's Steven Pienaar, Nigeria's Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Joseph Yobo, England's Leighton Baines and Holland's John Heitinga as well as Cahill are all in doubt for the trip - their presence depending on how their respective nations fair at the World Cup.

Everton boss David Moyes said it was going to be an exciting trip down under, despite the fact it will be the middle of winter in Australia.

"We're looking forward to seeing all the Evertonians in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as other football and sports fans," Moyes said.

"The facilities in Australia are first-class which is important to us because the training and the games will be a good part of our pre-season preparations.

"Thanks to Tim Cahill, the Aussies know all about Everton and I am sure we'll get a typically warm Australian welcome - even though it's winter down under!"
