Everton are in talks with FC Utrecht for Sebastien Haller.

The Daily Mail says the France U21 international was the subject of failed bids from Norwich City and Swansea in January and has been monitored by Ajax, Tottenham, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace over the past season.

He scored 24 goals in 40 appearances last term taking his tally to 35 in 57 games for Utrecht over two seasons.

Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan have been in talks with Utrecht in recent days but the 22-year-old has turned down a lucrative £14million transfer to the Far East and is keen to link up with Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.

Haller is 6ft 2in tall, is quick, strong, has a decent touch and a sense for goals.
