Everton hero Graeme Sharp is delighted with the arrival of Sandro Ramirez.

Everton completed a move for the highly-rated Spain Under-21s striker earlier this month, with the former Barcelona man penning a four-year deal after joining from Malaga.

“It is an exciting one for me," Sharp told evertonfc.com. “I'm looking forward to seeing him up close and hopefully he can do the business.

“His goalscoring record for someone so young is impressive. You have also got his pedigree, having come through at Barcelona. The boy has talent. A big asset is his age as well, so it looks a really good signing.

“It could be that not many Evertonians will know much about him but you look at his record for Malaga last season. La Liga is a tough league so to score 16 goals is not bad at all.

“He has the experience of playing internationally for Spain Under-21s as well and scored in the European Championships recently, so it looks like he can handle the big stage. I'm sure he will be looking to prove himself in the Premier League."
