Everton handed Kone injury boost

Everton have been boosted by the news that forward Arouna Kone has not suffered another serious knee injury.

?Kone was injured in the build-up to Everton's winning goal against QPR at Loftus Road on Sunday.

?A scan has confirmed that the problem is 'not serious'.

?It's still uncertain if the striker would be fit in time to face Southampton on April 4 after the international break.

?Kone was signed by Everton manager Roberto Martinez from his previous club Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2013.

?In October, 2013, the Ivory Coast international suffered a knee cartilage injury and was out of action for 14 months.

?He has made 12 appearances, scoring once, since returning from his injury in December.?
