Everton goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin: Feels good to be back

Everton goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin insists they'll improve after their 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town.

Everton maintained their unbeaten record under Marco Silva but only after Calvert-Lewin struck less than two minutes after Philip Billing gave Huddersfield a shock first-half lead.

"It feels good to be back," said Calvert-Lewin. “I've worked hard on my fitness to get to where I am now and I'm delighted to get the two goals in the week and then one today.

“It was important because it was my first Premier League start of the season so I wanted to try to get on the scoresheet and make an impression. Unluckily, we didn't get the win but it was nice to get the goal.

“We got a little bit frustrated. We were keeping the ball but perhaps not penetrating how we wanted to. Huddersfield played a very deep line with five at the back so it was hard to break them down at times and we struggled to get that extra goal.

“We're just disappointed that we couldn't kick on and go and win the game."
