Everton have joined the race for Hull City winger Stephen Hunt.

The News of the World says Everton boss David Moyes is a huge admirer of the Republic of Ireland winger and wants him to replace Steven Pienaar.

South African star Pienaar has failed to agree a new contract at Goodison Park and is a target of Spurs, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Moyes knows he is facing a losing battle to keep him on Merseyside and has set his sights on landing Hunt in a £5m deal.
