Everton fullback Jonjoe Kenny has enjoyed his first month with Schalke.
The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes as David Wagner's side cruised to a 5-0 win over SV Drochtersen/Assel in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.
"I like the way we play a lot, I like the way the coach has brought his ideas over," Kenny remarked.
"Obviously it takes time, but I think in the last two games it's really coming together.
"Of course there's a lot to improve on, but that takes time. It's a new staff, some new players, it's a new way of football.
"I like to defend, I like to get forward as well.
"The manager wants me to get forward as much as possible and that's what I like to do, I like to get involved in attacking plays.
"I need to create more chances for our players, that's part of my job now. I want to do as much as I can."
