Jonjoe Kenny says it's too soon to consider a permanent deal with Schalke.
The English defender is on-loan with Schalke from Everton and is already making a big impact. Kenny scored his first Bundesliga goal a week ago in victory over Hertha Berlin.
S04 coach David Wagner has already made Kenny a first-choice for his XI and speaking with BILD, it was put to Kenny that he could sign permanently with the German giants at the end of his loan in June.
Kenny replied: "It is too early for this decision. I do not want to live in the future. Whatever happens happens.
"Now I will definitely give everything to Schalke."
Kenny is on a straight season-long loan deal with Schalke, with no permanent option included. An England U21 international, the Liverpool-born 22 year-old has spent his entire career with Everton, though this is his third temporary deal away. Before Schalke, Kenny also spent time with Wigan Athletic and Oxford United.
After finishing 14th last season, Schalke have bigger ambitions this term under Wagner.
And on Europe, Kenny insists they can dream big.
He added, "Why not? I know Schalke from the Champions League, it's a world club. Of course, it is still early and much is new. But who knows where this will take us in the medium term? Now we concentrate on the league and want to take the next steps."
