Everton fullback Tony Hibbert believes the international break comes at a good time for the squad.
After their draw with Stoke City, Hibbert told evertonTV: "It's good that we have two weeks off, with the games we've had.
"The pitch on Thursday (against FC BATE) was very heavy. The lads who aren't playing in the internationals will get a rest. The games do come thick and fast, so it is good to get a little break."
The full-back admitted to a twinge of discontent following the Blues' 1-1 home draw against Stoke City on Sunday, where Leon Osman equalised after Potters' centre-back Robert Huth had earlier headed the visitors in front just four minutes after the break. And Hibbert was frustrated with the final result.
"When you're playing at home, you're always looking for three points," he continued. "Stoke are always going to be a hard team to play against. With long-balls, from throw-ins and free-kicks, but it's just one of those situations. They got the early goal, although it was us that needed it to get started and then we could start playing. But when they scored, it was our backs against the wall for a short time and we needed to kick on.
"That's what Ossie can do ...he did have enough goes trying though! It was his left-foot and what a great finish."
