Everton fullback Leighton Baines says he's happy to tour Australia in preseason.
Baines insists that his "homesick" comments, which led to his World Cup omission, were taken completely out of context.
He told evertonfc.com: "I spoke to the gaffer (David Moyes) after being left-out and he was great. He told me to go away on holiday and come back ready for next season. He said that at least I was one less player for him to worry about, injury-wise!
"And contrary to what people might think, I am looking forward to touring Australia with the team. I've never been before and it will be a great experience. It's a very important part of our build-up and I am sure we are in for three tough games.
"And before you ask...yes I will miss the family while I'm away!"
