Leighton Baines is hoping that Everton can get a boost from the FA Cup to kick start their season.
The Blues have been up and down this term, still struggling to maintain a top 10 position in the Premier League.
But Baines sees the FA Cup clash against Millwall as a great chance to get an emphatic win at a key moment of the season.
"It is an important game and an opportunity to build better momentum than we have done this season – the Cup will be a big part of that," Baines told evertontv.
"We are off the back of a defeat [at Southampton] so it is a chance for us to go and win and for it to be the first game of a positive run in general.
"The Cup is very important to us and we obviously want to go there and make sure we get through.
"It is a step up from the previous round in terms of Millwall being a Championship side.
"But it is a game we can look forward to and it gives us the opportunity to be in the next round of the Cup, which is always exciting."
