Everton management is frustrated missing out on Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu.
The Times says Everton are regretting not exercising their option to re-sign Deulofeu from Barcelona.
Under the terms of the deal that took him back to the Nou Camp, the Blues could have re-signed the Spaniard for £9.5million.
However, after sounding out the Toffees about signing the forward, the Catalan giants were informed he wouldn't fit with Marco Silva's game plan, so he was sold to Watford for £11.3million instead.
The 25-year-old has seven goals to his name to so far this season and has helped Watford to eighth in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
