Everton are favourites to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison.

Sky Sports says Everton are leading a group of Premier League clubs keen to sign Norwich's player of the year Maddison.

Marco Silva, confirmed as Everton's new manager on Thursday, is a known admirer of the midfielder, currently recovering from a knee ligament injury suffered at Sheffield Wednesday on the last day of the season.

A host of top Premier League teams continue to monitor the England U21's progress.

Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Southampton are all keen.

Norwich are thought to want between £20-25m for Maddison, with the club's Premier League relegation parachute payments now coming to an end.
