Everton face major Patterson injury blow

Everton face losing Nathan Patterson for six weeks.

The Times says Patterson is set to see a specialist on Tuesday with an initial diagnosis that he could be sidelined for six weeks.

The 20-year-old was stretchered off after half an hour in Scotland's Nations League clash against Ukraine on Wednesday with what looked to be a knee and ankle problem.

He will see a specialist tomorrow with the hope that the timeline can be reduced, although it is unlikely to come down substantially.

Patterson has played every minute of Premier League football so far this year - one of only three Everton players to do so. His absence will likely mean the return of club captain Seamus Coleman, with the 33-year-old only recently recovering from a groin injury himself.
