Everton must move quickly to snap up Oldham Athletic midfielder Dale Stephens.

The Sun says Charlton Athletic are closing in Stephens.

Everton have also been on the trail of Stephens, who had a spell on-loan at Southampton last season.

The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Bury and has had loan spells at Rochdale, Hyde and Droylsden.
