Everton are eyeing a move for Villarreal winger Denis Cheryshev.

Marca says Cheryshev is not believed to fit into Javier Calleja's plans for the upcoming campaign.

And Everton are interested in a late swoop for the former Real Madrid man before next week's deadline.

Cheryshev returned to Villarreal in 2016 after a loan spell with the La Liga club earlier in his career.

He was a regular last term but is expected to find his opportunities limited this season.
