Everton eyeing Sao Paulo goalkeeper Lucas Perri

Everton are being linked with Sao Paulo goalkeeper Lucas Perri.

The Liverpool Echo says Perri spent six months at Selhurst Park last year, but the 22-year-old never made a matchday squad in the Premier League.

Reports in Brazil claim that Everton have enquired about the Sao Paulo and Brazil U23 international, although the Toffees are yet to firm up their interest.

Perri has a £35 million release clause in his contract, though he would likely cost less than that.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson said of the Brazilian: "He's been very, very good, but the fact is it's not going to be a moment where I would look past (Wayne) Hennessey and (Julian) Speroni to give him a game."
