Everton are eyeing Espanyol midfielder David Lopez.

Mundo Deportivo says Everton have joined Spanish pair Valencia and Real Betis in the chase for Espanyol's Lopez.

The Barcelona-born 28-year-old defensive midfielder is currently in his second spell with home city club after playing in Italy for Napoli between 2014-16.

Lopez's suitors are reluctant to meet his £35million release clause though but are struggling to get his club to budge on his asking price.
