Everton are considering a move for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.
The Mirror says Maynard has rejected a new deal at Ashton Gate and is set to be a free agent this summer.
City were hoping to cash in on the 25-year-old this month after officially putting him for sale, but Maynard has steadfastly refused to move and is eyeing a potentially more lucrative end-of-season switch.
He has eight goals so far this season, but was dropped for City's home win over Doncaster last weekend.
Everton boss David Moyes fancies snapping up the Championship ace, just like he did when signing Leeds' Jermaine Beckford two summers ago.
