Everton eyeing Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Khaykin

Everton are eyeing Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Khaykin.

The Telegraph says the 27-year-old will be available on a free transfer from December, when his current contract in Norway runs out come the end of their domestic season.

Such a move would potentially be preparation for the departure of Asmir Begovic, whose contract at Goodison Park runs out next summer.

Khaykin, who has featured for Russia's youth teams but is yet to pick up a senior cap, began his career in Chelsea's academy before moving to Israel and then Norway, where he became Bodo/Glimt's No.1 and has played in the Champions League.
