Everton defender Yerry Mina: My faith in God increased during tough times

Everton defender Yerry Mina says his problems at Barcelona are now behind him.

Mina was brought to Europe by Barca, but lasted barely six months in Spain before moving to Everton.

He told AS: "My difficulties in Barcelona? I must thank the good Lord for giving me the talent and for helping me in difficult times. He's the one who helps me get up. The start of the World Cup (2018) was also very difficult for me. I arrived without rhythm and I didn't play straight away. But I trusted in God, I knew my time would come and that's when I started to trust Jesus.

"I also left the injuries behind. I have passed all these tests and I feel great. In addition, I work more every day. How did I feel after a season without playing for Barcelona? I always try to work hard because when I'm not playing I tell myself I'm going to have my chance. When the coach trusts you, it is fundamental."
