Everton defender Ashley Williams says he feels refreshed having joined Stoke City on-loan.

Williams endured a nightmare debut for the club as he was sent off in a 3-0 home defeat to Wigan but bounced back to keep a clean sheet in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Premier League Huddersfield.

“I'm really enjoying it at Stoke. I'm getting that good feeling back about going into work every day," he told Inside Wales.

“I'm trying to get back in the team.

“It's a new challenge, new team-mates and new manager.

“I'm trying to go in there and help as much as I can."
