Everton defender Morgan Feeney is set to land a loan move away.

The Liverpool Echo says Feeney is heading to Tranmere Rovers on loan.

The 20-year-old will spend the rest of the season with the League One side to aid their survival bid.

Rovers are third bottom of the table, but only three points behind MK Dons, and the highly thought of Feeney will give Micky Mellon an injection of quality to his defensive options.

Feeney, a double Premier League 2 title winner with the Blues, will be embarking on a first loan move of his career when he completes the move to Prenton Park.
