Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite watched by Man Utd at Blackburn

Everton's teenage defender Jarrad Branthwaite is being watched by Manchester United.

The stylish left-sided centre back is on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he has been gaining first team experience and impressing observers with his assured performances.

Branthwaite joined Everton from Carlisle United a year ago in a £1million deal and the then 17-year old quickly made an impression on Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff.

The Daily Mail says clubs, including United, are beginning to take greater note of Branthwaite's potential.

United want a centre back in the summer and will target one with greater experience such as Sevilla's Jules Kounde but Branthwaite is on their radar as they consider the future also.
