Despite playing at right back, the Irishman has scored quite a few cracking goals for the Toffees.
"I do look very aggressive but deep down I'm very happy when I score," the 28-year-old told the club's website.
"It's a great way of letting out a bit of emotion, too. If you're having a bad game or getting a bit of stick you can score a goal and let those emotions out.
"I get a bit of stick from my teammates because they come to celebrate with me and I just run away but I can't help myself.
"Obviously in my position the first job is to defend but scoring is part of the game I really enjoy."
Coleman is currently out injured after he suffered a horrific leg-break whilst on international duty with Ireland in March.
