Everton defender Coady: Why Calvert-Lewin return is huge

Everton defender Conor Coady believes forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is someone who defenders cannot handle.

The centre-forward is back in action for the Toffees, scoring a fine goal in a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Calvert-Lewin's injury issues last term coincided with the team dropping its level significantly.

Coady, who is at Everton on loan from Wolves this season, told talkSPORT: "Huge [Calvert-Lewin returning], I think everybody knows [how important he is] not just me but to Everton Football Club. What he's done over the years, the goals he's scored, I've been lucky to play with him before he come to Everton at England, I've played against him and his leap - as a defender, I don't know how you deal with it.

"The way he puts himself about, how much of a handful he is, so it's so, so tough to deal with as a defender. We know how much he brings to the football club, we seen it at the weekend, we know how much he'll bring moving forward and what he will bring to us moving forward as well.

"His goal on the weekend, we all gave him a big hug at the weekend because of what it meant to us but we seen how much it meant to him as well because the goal was outstanding but showed everything he was about; pace, power, winning the ball back - which people probably don't notice.."
