Everton are set to welcome back a pair of important players for this week's Capital One Cup meeting with Swansea City.
The Toffees take on the Swans in the third round of the league cup on Tuesday night and are expected to include left-back Bryan Oviedo and striker Arouna Kone.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez said: "We have really good news, with Bryan Oviedo being in the squad for the first time since his broken leg.
"Arouna Kone could make his return as well. He is available for selection, but we need to be a little bit cautious.
"Bryan is in a situation where he has been training with the group now for a while and I do think he is ready for 11-a-side after he played the game with the Under-21s.
"But I need to make a little bit of a decision in the morning on Arouna."
24-year old Costa Rican Oviedo, who filled in with aplomb when Leighton Baines was injured last term, has not played since breaking his leg in January while Ivorian forward Kone has been sideline with a serious knee problem since October 2013.
