Everton boss Roberto Martinez is chasing Espanyol forward Sergio Garcia.
The Daily Star Sunday says the striker - who can also play on the wing - is available for a knock-down price because he is entering the final year of his contract and will not sign a new deal.
Garcia, 30, is a product of the famous Barcelona youth academy and has scored ten goals in 26 matches in La Liga this season.
Everton scouts have watched him several times and manager Roberto Martinez has already enquired about the player's availability.
