Everton caretaker boss Ferguson open to discussing new signings

Everton caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson admits he won't be involved in any late signings this month.

Following Saturday's defeat to Aston Villa, Ferguson was asked if he was given any word that he might have an input over transfers over the closing days of the window.

However, while the caretaker boss said he would be happy to help, he expects other people to conduct the work regarding any more potential incomings.

Ferguson told his post-match press conference: "No, I've had no inkling of that.

"That'll be down to other people, who'll be making the decisions. I'm sure if they want to ask me about anything, obviously I'm here.

"But that'd be down to other people I would think."
