Everton have fought off Borussia Dortmund to secure Anthony Gordon to a first pro deal.

The England youth international has put pen-to-paper on a deal until June 2023 having been previously linked with a potential move to the Bundesliga.

German side Borussia Dortmund were credited with an interest in the starlet in November 2018.

Gordon became the first 21st century-born player to make a senior appearance for the club when he came off the bench in December 2017's 3-0 win away to Apollon Limassol.

Since then, the 18-year-old has been impressive in both the U18s and David Unsworth's U23s setup - helping the latter climb to the top of the Premier League 2 table.
