Everton boss Marco Silva insists goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has his full confidence.
Pickford gifted Divock Origi a last-gasp winner in the Merseyside derby last month and has made two more errors that have led to opposition goals, while some of his other performances have been erratic.
But Silva is sure his keeper will soon find that consistency again.
“He has had very, very good moments this season, others not so good," said Silva, before Saturday's trip to Southampton.
“Everything comes really fast to Jordan in his career in the last year-and-a-half.
“Firstly, because he has the quality to achieve that. He deserves it, because he shows very good quality to become No.1 of the national team and had a fantastic World Cup.
“In some moments this season, he has not shown the consistency I want — the consistency he wants also. But this is part of our job, to give him this work to be more consistent.
“I'm sure with more experience and games and more fantastic performances and in other moments, some mistakes, Jordan will learn from that."
