Everton boss Silva: If Gana sold we'll need replacement

Everton boss Marco Silva admits they could lose Idrissa Gueye this summer.

The Senegal midfielder is a target for PSG and Silva says if he must be sold, then the midfielder must be replaced.

Silva said, "Gana is still our player and, of course, if we lose him, we will have to hire a player to replace him, because you are talking about a player playing almost every game on our team. If that happens, we have to replace him, but it's not because we signed Fabian Delph.

"I have to talk to Idrissa Gueye and show him how important he is to us. To be honest, even if it was (a departure to PSG in January) a fantastic opportunity for him, Gana's behavior after this period was excellent even if a dream flew from him.

"He always gives himself 100%. He told me that during that time, he had this dream, but for us, as a club, it was really hard to lose a player like him. I think we made the right decision and after that, Gana proved it with his best season at Everton, in my opinion. We'll see what happens in the transfer market for Idrissa, but we're here to make the best decisions for Everton."
