Everton boss Marco Silva retains hope of keeping hold of Idriss Gueye.

Silva offered an update on Gueye after the midfielder was left out of their squad for their 1-0 win at Huddersfield.

Gueye has been the subject of a transfer bid from Paris Saint-Germain, which the Toffees rejected, but reportedly wants to leave Goodison Park.

“There's nothing new," Silva said. “I tried to be honest with you and our fans.

“He had a minor problem in his groin.

“There have been no new offers."
