Everton boss Silva angry over summer football calendar

Everton boss Marco Silva is angry over this summer's football calendar.

Silva had revealed his frustration over the scheduling of international matches immediately following the end of the Premier League season and has asked the authorities to look at the situation which has left him with little time to fully prepare for the new campaign.

“Even if I disagree 100% with the last international date, and I'm not talking about the Copa America or the Africa Cup of Nations," Silva said.

“We finished the season on May 12 and we had players playing until June 11, it doesn't make sense.

“Big competitions are one thing but international dates in the middle of June doesn't make sense and so after the season we gave the players some days to rest, after that they went to their national teams but for me it doesn't make sense and I hope they can look at this situation.

“So to answer directly to your question, it is a little bit frustrating for me to not have my whole squad.
