Everton boss Moyes ponders changing matchday procedure after Beckford mishap

Everton boss David Moyes admits he may change his matchday procedures after Jermaine Beckford's traffic problems last week.

The striker failed to make their FA Cup defeat to Reading on scheduled time due to a traffic jam.

"Maybe I will change the procedures but I have been here nine years and it has worked for nine years," said Moyes.

"We have maybe had someone who has got stuck in a bit of traffic and been five minutes late but nine years I have done the same stuff and it hasn't affected the results too much. It was purely accidental. He left in enough time. We have all been stuck in situations where you can't do anything about it. For anyone to say anything would be throwing a stone in a glass house."
