Everton boss David Moyes hailed the performance of Leon Osman for victory at West Ham United.

Moyes sees no reason why Osman cannot keep his place in the England squad.

"I thought he was the best player on the pitch," said Moyes. "He took the ball, turned and passed it, was creative, was clever when he got the ball played to him. I think if Roy (Hodgson) had seen him play today he would realise he had made the right decision to select him for the first game. And if he keeps playing like that he won't be far away from a second one in the future."
