Everton boss Frank Lampard says Isaac Price was the big bonus to come from their trip to Sydney.

The 19-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers, impressing in both Sydney Super Cup fixtures. His displays were all the more significant due to the lack of recognised senior central midfielders around him.

The teenager has shown composure and courage in his displays at the heart of midfield.

Lampard said: "I thought Isaac was great. He's had a great trip. He has matured a lot and he has deserved to play because of the way he has trained and the way he has played for the Under-21s so he's thrown himself into the equation for the first team now."
