Everton boss Lampard: Beating Brentford for Prem safety would be great

Everton boss Frank Lampard says they know they can secure Premier League safety this weekend.

The Blues host Brentford on Sunday.

Lampard said, "The next game is absolutely crucial. We're not done, we're not over the line - the minute you switch off, this game can be finished."

On potentially securing safety this weekend, he continued: "It would be great, but it's all ifs and buts.

"It's our job to get across the line and that's for sure on Sunday or next Thursday. It's up to us to make that happen.

"Full credit to them, they're a hard team to analyse due to the flexibility in their team.

"They're on particularly good form at the moment and they deserve their place in the Premier League."

On Christian Eriksen, Lampard added: "He's come back and shown his quality instantly. Fair play to him on so many levels, he's a top-class player."
