Everton boss Rafa Benitez has detailed the type of player he wants to bring to the club.
The manager has highlighted how important it is for players to have a strong desire to play for Everton before they arrive.
"I think it's crucial to have players who really want to come," the Blues boss confirmed.
"We have to be sure we propose them something attractive, to make sure they come here with the motivation you need.
"At the same time I can see that, because I have experience without money. You have to be sure they're good players, if you want to improve the level of the team you have to bring in good players.
"But it has to be players who will come here and perform. Not just names, and then maybe they can or they can't.
"We need to know 100% what we are trying to bring here. And they will come and will do everything for the team, because it's what the fans are expecting, that's simple.
"But it's not just that. The passion and the desire and the commitment is good, but at the same time it's the balance. We need more quality to be sure we increase the level of the squad.
"There are not too many players, especially in the transfer window in January, that will be available and keen to come if they are playing in the Champions League and things like that.
"It's not easy, we know the difficulties now, and we have to start working on that."
