Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti says Jordan Pickford will have a scan to determine the extent of the injury that forced him off during the first half of their game against Burnley, though he thinks the goalkeeper "can recover soon".
Pickford was replaced by Joao Virginia 43 minutes into Saturday's 2-1 defeat against the Clarets with an injury Ancelotti said is similar to the rib problem that forced the stopper to miss four games in a 12-day period earlier this year.
Ancelotti said: "We don't know. He had exactly the same problem he had last month when he was out for [four] games. I hope he's going to have a scan on Monday and we will see after the scan.
"I hope that Jordan can recover soon. Of course, we have to see, we have to check.
"I think it's not going to be a big, big problem because it is the same problem that he had [before].
"I think he can recover soon."
