Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti admits James Rodriguez is out for the remainder of the year.
Ancelotti has confirmed Everton will be without James for their final two matches of the calendar year.
He had previously insisted the Colombian was suffering with a minor calf problem but he will now have missed six matches in all competitions since the draw at Burnley.
Ancelotti, in his pre-match press conference for the trip to Sheffield United on Boxing Day, said: "For the next few games, James will not be available."
The Italian added: "Without Richarlison would be difficult.
"If he has a concussion he has to stay out, we have to follow the protocols, and we have to be able to replace him better than we did when he was [suspended].
"If Richarlison is not there, it will be a great opportunity for the players that did not play a lot. For this game, they can show their qualities."
