Everton boss Sam Allardyce is chasing Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke for the January market.
The Mirror says Allardyce will target Benteke when the transfer window opens next month.
The new Everton boss wants to beef up the Blues' attack following their summer sale of last season's top-scorer Romelu Lukaku and is considering a move to be reunited with the Belgium international, who played under him at Selhurst Park last season.
Big Sam is also heavily in the running for Sevilla's Steven N'Zonzi and hopes to beat Arsenal to the £23 million-rated midfielder.
However, Allardyce has been told he can't bring in new players without offloading first.
