Premiership clubs are scrambling for released Manchester City winger Martin Petrov.
The Daily Mail says Petrov, a £4.7m buy from Atletico Madrid three years ago, could be offered the chance to stay in the north west with Everton, Bolton or Blackburn all keen.
Petrov has also been linked with a return to Spain.
