Everton assistant coach Ancelotti full of praise for Davies improvements

Everton assistant coach Davide Ancelotti is full of praise for midfielder Tom Davies.

Ancelotti rates Davies the club's most improved player this season.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "Tom Davies improved his qualities because he is a guy with a really good learning capacity. When you say one thing to him, it's enough, you don't have to repeat things.

"I think he has improved a lot, the way he is able to play under pressure, the personality he shows when he is on the ball, when he is defending, how he helps the others.

"I think in this 15 months we have been here, he is the player who has impressed me more. His progression has been really good.

“From this season, we also have Leighton Baines who takes care of our young players and I work a lot with Leighton about the reviews of the game and, all of the players and not just Tom, are really interested in how they played.

"We have a good routine with almost all of the players after the games to analyse the things together, and it is a good group. They all want to learn and to see what's wrong when they have a feeling that something went wrong during the game."
