Everton approach mother of Juventus midfielder Rabiot over potential switch

Everton are entering the race to sign Juventus star Adrien Rabiot.

The Frenchman only moved to Juve in the summer on a free transfer, but has found it difficult to get game time.

The Italian champions have a packed midfield and Rabiot is often the odd one out under Maurizio Sarri.

Footmercato says Everton have contacted Rabiot's mother, who is also his agent.

The club, now managed by Carlo Ancelotti, is hoping to make a splash in the January transfer window.

Everton would guarantee the Frenchman game time, but he may be hoping a club with Champions League or Europa League classification comes in for him instead.

A loan move for Rabiot is also possible, as he may want to put himself in the shop window for the summer.
