Everton will become the first ever Premier League team to play in the African nation of Tanzania, it can be confirmed.
Everton have announced that they will travel to Tanzania on Thursday 13 July to play a pre-season friendly at the 60,000-capacity Tanzania National Main Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam and in doing so, will become the first ever Premier League side to play in the African nation.
The Toffees will be squaring off against the winner of the SportPesa Super Cup and the match is an obligation which the Merseyside club will have to fulfill as part of their partnership with betting company SportPesa, who will sponsor the club for the next five years.
