Everton have announced Samuel Eto'o will join Sampdoria later today.
The Blues declared in a statement:
"The transfer of Samuel Eto'o to Serie A side Sampdoria is expected to be completed inside the next 24 hours.
"The 33-year-old striker has undergone a medical in Genoa and it is anticipated that the move will be confirmed on Monday.
"A former African Football of the Year and Champions League winner with Barcelona and Internazionale, Eto'o arrived at Everton on a free transfer in August, scoring four goals in 20 appearances for the Club."
