Gerard Deulofeu continued his impressive form at club level for Everton by scoring a double for Spain's U21 side on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old winger converted from the penalty spot in the 19th minute to give Spain the lead in their eventual 3-2 win over Croatia in Euro2017 qualifying in Rijeka.
Marco Asensio's first-time finish in the 41st minute gave Spain a two-goal advantage before Deulofeu pounced on a glaring error from Croatia keeper Dominik Livakovic to slot home simply in the 54th minute.
Croatia hit back with goals from Chelsea youngster Mario Pasalic (on loan at Monaco) and a penalty from Josip Radosevic but the damage had already been done as Albert Celades' men made it two wins this international week to go top of Group 6 ahead of Croatia by one point.
