Everton have rejected Southampton's compo offer for Thierry Small.

Football Insider says Everton have rejected a £1.5million compensation offer from Southampton for Small.

The 17-year-old rejected the offer of professional terms with Everton and ripped up his scholarship to help force through a move to St Mary's.

Small, the youngest player to play for the Blues, had today penned a three-year pro deal with the Saints but Everton are due compensation.

And now Southampton have offered £1.5m for the youngster, but that offer been knocked back by the Blues, who believe a fee of around £5m is a fairer reflection of his value.
