EUROPA LEAGUE - QF 2nd LEG: Sevilla hold off Zenit as Fiorentina join Napoli in final four

The quarter-final second legs of the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League were completed on Thursday with four clubs progressing to the semi-finals.

Sevilla continue to fly the flag for Spanish clubs in Europe's second tier club competition after a tense 2-2 draw with Zenit Saints Petersburg in Russia.

Unai Emery's Sevillistas edged Zenit 2-1 last week which turned into a 3-1 aggregate lead when Carlos Bacca converted from the penalty spot in the sixth minute.

Goals from Jose Salomon Rondon and Hulk levelled the tie for Zenit before Kevin Gameiro's 85th-minute intervention gave Sevilla a 4-3 overall result.

Joining them in the final four are Ukraine's Dnipro who edged Belgian side Club Brugge 1-0 courtesy of Yevhen Shakov's 82nd-minute goal to score a 1-0 aggregate win following the scoreless draw win Bruges last week.

Fiorentina eased past Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in Florence thanks to goals either side of the break from Mario Gomez and Juan Manuel Vargas to move through 3-1 on aggregate while Napoli made it two Italian teams in the semis by getting past Germany's Wolfsburg 6-3 overall.

Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens had Napoli two goals ahead before Timm Klose and Ivan Perisic grabbed quick-fire goals to see the second leg scoreline end 2-2 at the Stadio San Paolo.

The draw for the Europa League semi-finals will be made on Friday with the first leg to take place on May 7 and the second a week later on May 14.
